Amazing Grace...

Don't you find it amazing, when you know where you are today, this week in your life....and you read the Bible reading for this day, this week, that was picked with a purpose, but fairly at random in December....do you hear the sacred echos of the way it fits your situation, it comforts your ache, it confirms your stand???...Do you just stand in AWE of God and his amazing grace??...We are called by him ...

Judges 6:12 When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, he said, "The LORD is with you, mighty warrior." ...
13 "But sir," Gideon replied, "if the LORD is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all his wonders that our fathers told us about when they said, 'Did not the LORD bring us up out of Egypt?' But now the LORD has abandoned us and put us into the hand of Midian."
and then verse 14... The LORD turned to him and said, "Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian's hand. Am I not sending you?"

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
Isaiah 43:2

This is only the beginning...

I wanted to have a spot that we could post to on a regular basis. We have begun a project, stirred a pot, and are preparing for battle.
This is a sounding board of encouragement and strength. A place to post verses, quotes, and messages that will give us the groundwork for the job which we are about to undertake.
We have witnessed a growing weakness in the bones of our church. We have seen families come and go - less come, more go. It is time to make a stand for our churches and our GOD. No longer can we just let things and people slide.
So I checked the availability of several phrases from one of our favorite books of the Bible- James.

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know the testing of your faith develops PERSERVERANCE." James 1:2
